How secure is Tangle?
Industry-standard end-to-end encryption with per-session keys ensures your messages are highly secure and private. Each conversation gets its own encryption key.
Can I add people to ongoing chats?
Yes, up to 4 people total. But it requires unanimous approval. Any single “Decline” cancels the request. Everyone stays in control.
What happens when a chat ends?
When you hang up, messages disappear from all devices and servers. Only a lightweight record that a chat occurred remains in your history.
How do scheduled chats work?
Set one-time or recurring chats. Everyone gets notified at the exact scheduled time to join. Perfect for daily planning or regular check-ins.
How do burner profiles work?
Create temporary identities for marketplace meetups or early dating. Change or delete them anytime. The UI turns orange when active so you always know.
Can you read my messages?
No. Zero-knowledge architecture with end-to-end encryption means we cannot access your private communications. Only participants can decrypt messages.
Casual vs Focus mode?
Casual mode lets you chat at your own pace. Focus mode includes a 30-second user timeout to keep conversations quick and intentional, like a phone call. No idle, hours-long texting threads.
What if someone bothers me?
Block them from your profile. Blocks apply to the account, not the tag, so changing usernames won't help them evade blocks.
